Signatures and disclaimers

If your organization uses a third-party solution to dynamically add signatures or disclaimers to outbound emails, you might notice that these signatures or disclaimers are not automatically added to sent Zivver messages. This is because these sent Zivver messages are not yet processed by that third-party solution.

To allow a third-party solution to dynamically add signatures or disclaimers to sent Zivver messages, you must do the following:

  • Use Zivver Plugin Assisted Mail Submission (PAMS) in the Zivver Office plugin.
  • Use Zivver OWA Assisted Mail Submission (AMS) in the Zivver Outlook Web Access (OWA) Add-in.
  • Adjust the configuration of the Exchange Mail Flow Rule for that third-party solution so that the signature or disclaimer is added before Zivver processes the sent message.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Exchange Admin Center.
  2. Edit the Mail Flow Rule that lets the third-party solution add a signature or disclaimer.
Mail flow > Rules > Edit
  3. Make sure that Stop processing more rules is Enforce.
  4. Make sure that the Zivver (P)AMS Mail Flow Rule has a lower priority (that is: a higher number) than the Mail Flow Rule used by the third-party solution.
Note
If you also use (P)AMS for other purposes, make sure the Zivver Mail Flow Rule has the correct priority. For example, if you use a Document Management System (DMS), the Zivver Mail Flow Rule must have a lower priority (higher number) than the DMS Mail Flow Rule.
