Signatures and disclaimers

If your organization uses a third-party solution to dynamically add signatures or disclaimers to outbound emails, you might notice that these signatures/disclaimers are not automatically added to sent Zivver messages. This is because these sent Zivver messages are not (yet) processed by this third-party solution.

To allow a third-party solution to dynamically add signatures/disclaimers to sent Zivver messages, you must do these actions.

  • Use the Zivver Plugin Assisted Mail Submission (PAMS) in the Zivver Office plugin.
  • Use the Zivver OWA Assisted Mail Submission (AMS) in the Zivver Outlook Web Access (OWA) Add-in.
  • Change the configuration of the Exchange Mail Flow Rule for that third-party solution. You want that the signature/disclaimer is added, before Zivver processes the sent message.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Exchange Admin Center.
  2. Edit the Mail Flow Rule that is used to let the third-party solution add a signature/disclaimer.
    Mail flow > Rules > Edit
  3. Make sure that the option to Stop processing more rules is Enforce.
  4. Make sure that the Zivver (P)AMS Mail Flow Rule has a lower priority than the Mail Flow Rule that is used to let the third-party solution add a signature/disclaimer.
If you use (P)AMS also for other purposes, make sure that the Zivver Mail Flow Rule has the right priority. An example of such purpose is a Document Management System (DMS). Then, you must set the priority of the Zivver Mail Flow Rule higher than the Mail Flow Rule of that DMS.
