Enable Plugin Assisted Mail Submission in the Zivver Office Plugin

With Zivver Plugin Assisted Mail Submission (PAMS), your mail server or secure email gateway (SEG) can process outgoing Zivver messages. To do this, you must enable PAMS in the Zivver Office Plugin.

Note
First implement PAMS in your mail server or SEG. Otherwise, the server will send outgoing Zivver messages to the recipient as unsecured email.

Procedure

You can enable PAMS in the Zivver Office Plugin v5.7.7 or newer with this Windows registry key:

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Zivver\OfficePlugin\Settings\
  • Type: REG_DWORD
  • Name: EnableMailAssistedSubmission
  • Value: 1

You can disable PAMS by setting the value to 0.

Tip
When using PAMS, we recommend disabling the Save sent Zivver messages without encryption setting. With PAMS, this setting is unnecessary and can, in exceptional cases, cause problems. You can configure this setting centrally in the Zivver admin panel under Plugin settings. We recommend setting it to Off, enforced.
