Limitations of OWA Assisted Mail Submission

Be aware of these known limitations when using OWA Assisted Mail Submission (OWA-AMS):

  • Ensure that a mail flow rule in your mail server or SEG is activated and configured correctly. Otherwise, the mail server might deliver the sent Zivver message as a regular (unsecured) email or might not deliver it at all.
  • With Zivver, you can send large attachments (up to 5 TB) using the Zivver attachment button in OWA. However, your mail server or SEG cannot process such large attachments due to message size limits in Microsoft Exchange and other mail servers or SEGs. If an employee needs to send large attachments, the mail server or SEG cannot process them. If your mail server or SEG must process all attachments, the maximum attachment size is limited.
  • You cannot always recognize securely sent messages as Zivver messages in the Sent Items folder in OWA. This can occur when the Zivver side pane is not opened, the sender is not logged in to Zivver, or the Zivver OWA add-in is not available.
