Inbound Direct Delivery

Zivver messages are not standard emails. However, Zivver can securely deliver them as emails when you enable the Inbound Direct Delivery (IDD) option in the Zivver WebApp.

This option is useful if you do not want to first export the messages from Zivver. For example, you might want to store incoming messages in a document management system.

Warning
With Inbound Direct Delivery, the recipient’s computer stores incoming messages from Zivver domains as regular email. As a consequence, authentication with Zivver 2FA is not required to read them.
If necessary, ensure that you have an alternative secure storage method.

You can choose to have Zivver deliver inbound messages directly, rather than through Zivver client software. This option is only available if the connection security is adequate.

If you want to reply to an Inbound Direct Delivery message, you must use a Zivver client or use “Secure Direct Replies”.
