Introduction

This page answers frequently asked questions about message limits in Zivver. Free accounts are designed for personal use and therefore have message limits in place. These limits provide added security and help prevent misuse of the platform.

The use of Zivver for business purposes requires a paid subscription. Using a free account for business purposes is not permitted.

Paid Zivver accounts offer unlimited secure messages* as well as additional benefits, such as the ability to send secure emails directly from your email client. You can view our subscription plans on our pricing page.

FAQ

How many secure messages can be started?You can start 5 secure messages per calendar month.
When does my limit reset?On the 1st day of each new calendar month.
Can replies still be sent after reaching the limit?Yes. You can continue to reply to existing messages as well as new incoming messages.
How can you tell when the limit has been reached?You are informed about the monthly message limit in several ways:
  • In the WebApp, a counter/progress bar shows how many messages remain for the month.
  • In the WebApp, a banner at the top of the inbox appears once the limit is reached.
  • In the WebApp, a dialog pop-up appears when clicking while already at the monthly limit.
  • Once the limit is reached, an email is sent.
How can a free account be upgraded to a paid business account?Go to our pricing page and select the subscription that best fits your needs. Follow the checkout process on the website to complete the subscription.
Note
During checkout, make sure the same email address used for the free account is entered. If done correctly, an email will be sent to upgrade the account. If a different email address is used, a completely new account will be created.
Will drafts be lost after upgrading to a paid business account?No. Any draft being worked on will remain saved in the drafts folder.
Why does the notification about reaching the limit still appear after upgrading the account?Changes to the account take effect after refreshing the WebApp. Click the refresh button in your browser to reload the page. Notifications related to the limit will no longer appear.
